Why We Like The HS2 Rotor
Designed to reduce braking noise and improve heat dissipation, the SRAM HS2 rotor helps our bikes stop faster than ever while staying quiet on steep, sustained descents. The HS2 is thicker than previous SRAM rotors, measuring a full 2mm thick, and it uses a new brake track pattern that increases traction against the brake pads. Improved Stopping Power

I was stoked to see this rotor improvement from SRAM. I don't know how they based the increased braking performance but it works as advertised. I mounted the 220 in the front and 200 in the back. Besides looking stylish, it's provided a lot more confidence on short, steep descents. I've yet to try them on a long, steep descent so I can't say anything about brake fade. We'll see...
